Genevieve Antonetty is an experienced dancer who has practiced a wide range of styles for 17 years of her dance career. Genevieve has a strong ability to learn choreography quickly and has excellent stage performance. Her passion and persistence shines through in all of her interests including dance performance, choreography, teaching, and more. Genevieve was born and raised in Maple Valley, Washington where her passion for dance took flight. Genevieve started her training at a local studio, Dance Expressions, where she competed at various competitions through the Break The Floor circuit.
Additionally, she attended intensives with BodyTraffic, Ballare Carmel, Haven, Komoco, and B12. She is currently working on graduating from NYU Tisch School of the Arts with a B.F.A. in dance in the spring of 2024. Throughout her dance career thus far, Genevieve has worked closely with renowned choreographers such as Andrea Miller, Sofia Nappi, Pamela Pietro, Sean Curran, Sidra Bell, Marla Phelan, David Dorfman, Tamisha Guy, and many more. Most recently, Genevieve has performed repertoire set by the contemporary companies, Gallim and AIM at the Second Avenue Dance Company Senior performance showcase. Genevieve was cast with a solo created and performed by Vivian Pakkanen in the original rendition of SAMA and was a core dancer in a cast of five in Kyle Abraham’s, The Quiet Dance. Additionally, she has performed works choreographed by her peers at New York University’s Second Avenue Dance Company showcases.
As a Choreographer Genevieve has had the opportunity to choreograph 2 contemporary solos for the Glass House Dance Studio located in Sammamish & Black Diamond Washington. She has also collaborated with peers at New York University to choreograph a trio for the Choreographers, Composers & Designers performance on the Tisch Second Avenue stage. Genevieve works as a judge and masterclass teacher for Glass House Dance Studio. She choreographs competition routines, teaches masterclasses, and gives private technique lessons across the country.
As Genevieve concludes her training, she aims to collaborate with creative artists, broaden her physical knowledge through exposure to new styles and repertoire, and persist in the ongoing journey of enhancing her technique.
Genevieve holds a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts with a major in dance from New York University.
Genevieve has 17 years of dance training and 15 years of performance experience. Additionally, she has been teaching and choreographing for 6 years working with various clients ranging from individual private lessons to group works at dance studios around the US.
